500 miles for 50 years of Petrus

On Monday 18th July, 9 intrepid cyclists from across The Regenda Group and one of our wonderful HART nurses will take on our 50 Miles for 50 Years challenge.

In a stroke of luck (or fate), Petrus Hub is around 25 miles from Tatton Park.  And what a perfect opportunity, while the RHS Flower Show garden is being built, to cycle to Tatton Park and back to mark the 50 years that Petrus has been in operation.

Sonia Denham, Head of Petrus, said: “For 50 years, Petrus has supported some of the most marginalised people in our communities to feel empowered to have their voices heard, and we’ll continue to do that for as long as its needed. The 50 Miles for 50 Years challenge is a fantastic opportunity for our colleagues from across The Regenda Group to come together, support each other and raise money to achieve our vision that together we will end homelessness and create safe places where all people can flourish. Lots of luck to everyone taking part and thank you so much.”

Chair of Petrus, Paul Roberts, is also taking part. Paul said: "I’m really looking forward to joining colleagues on the bike ride to celebrate Petrus at Tatton this year and in support of Petrus' 50th anniversary. Petrus’s garden at Tatton is a brilliant example of just one of the innovative approaches taken by the charity to help service users on their personal journey away from homelessness. So this year’s theme of Journey Home is very apt . Everyone’s journey is different. This event allows us to all share this experience and celebrate our involvement with a great charity that has been supporting people for 50 years. Good luck to everyone taking part and stay healthy!"
