Get together with your friends, colleagues or classmates and go purple with us to mark World Homeless Day.
World Homeless Day aims to raise awareness about the needs of people experiencing homelessness and promote work being done in communities to help people get back on their feet.
With homelessness rising year on year across the North West, we need your help to provide our vital services in the community.
Purple represents the bravery required to face daily hardships without a home. It embodies independence, and the strength needed to rebuild a life with limited resources or support. It also is a symbol of power, representing the resilience of those who fight to regain control of their lives despite overwhelming obstacles.
By wearing purple, we not only raise awareness of homelessness but also honour the strength, perseverance, and dignity of those working to rebuild their lives. So, decorate your office, wear your favourite purple clothes and maybe even bake some purple goodies to help us raise awareness and funds to support homeless people through our Hub.
The Hub provides homeless people with access to essential support, including:
🥓 Hot meals and drinks
🚿 Showers and laundry facilities
👩⚕️ Health and wellbeing support
🥰Friendly faces and conversation
And so much more…
Please help us reach our target of £1,600 – which would supply the Hub kitchen with food for a month – by wearing purple on 10th October (or a date that works best for you!).
Get involved!
