An egg’cellent appeal by a local homelessness charity has seen children across the borough of Rochdale receive chocolate treats.
Petrus Community collected over 560 Easter eggs from Rochdale businesses and the local community. The donations were then given to social services, community projects and domestic abuse refuges.
The appeal proved as successful as the charity’s annual Christmas appeal which helped over 450 children during the last festive season.
Pam Barrett, Petrus Community Store Manager, said: “I would like to thank everyone who donated to our appeal and helped us spread some chocolate cheer.
“It was fantastic that we were able to help so many children living in less fortunate situations across the borough.”
