We're thrilled to announce that we'll be returning to RHS Flower Show Tatton Park for the fourth year in a row! We've had award-winning gardens in previous years, and we're aiming high again this year with a new exhibition.
As in previous years, our garden will be designed and built by staff, volunteers and service users, and they have truly excelled themselves with this year’s creation. This year’s garden will be in RHS’s new Terraced Garden category and will highlight how community food-growing projects can empower people and communities.
The Empowerment Garden has been designed to showcase how people can be empowered and unified through horticulture. Focusing on biophilia, the tendency to interact or be closely associated with other forms of life in nature, strengthening our connections to food and how it’s grown is something that we can all relate to and benefit from. It empowers us by improving our health and well-being through nature connectivity, physical activity and access to fresh produce while increasing opportunities to take ownership of the environment around us, contribute to positive climate action and live more sustainable, healthier lives.
Rachael Bennion, Petrus Service Manager, said:
“Our volunteers, service users and staff and so excited to be going to RHS Tatton Park for the fourth time. It’s an incredible experience for us all, where we can show the amazing things we can do when we work together and support each other. Our garden is created by our brilliant volunteers and service users and they are rightly proud of the amazing spaces they produce. It’s a real team effort and to show our skills at something like RHS Tatton Park is amazing.”
This will be our fourth time exhibiting at the show, having previously been awarded Bronze, Silver and Silver Gilt RHS medals, as well as the highly acclaimed Peoples Choice Award, which is voted for by show visitors in 2019, 2021 and 2022. We hope to score gold with the judges and receive our fourth People’s Choice Award this year.
